How can you improve your soil or compost if they are ‘black boxes’ where life is invisible to the naked eye?
I simply reveal the secrets of this micro-life to help you identify its strengths and weaknesses. The aim is to help you understand it clearly so you can look after it and restore it if necessary.
Healthy or not?
I carry out microscopic analyses to check whether various communities of beneficial and/or potentially pathogenic microorganisms are present. Their presence and balance play an essential role in the health of your soil and compost, depending on what you wish to grow.
Method
I use an analysis method developed by Dr Elaine Ingham, an internationally renowned microbiologist and founder of the Soil Food Web Foundation and the international network for soil life regeneration of the same name. I've been performing assessment since 2023 and my laboratory is certified by the SFW.
In practice
I will guide you through taking your soil samples, or I can do it for you. The sample must reach me as soon as possible so that it can be analysed within 24–48 hours. I will send you a report and we can discuss it together if you wish, to help you make decisions or consider solutions.

Simple sampling
Before the analysis I explain to you how to collect and send your samples. I can also do it for you.
